Washington, DC — The American Family Business Institute (AFBI) praised U.S. Rep. Diane Black, R-Gallatin, for supporting family businesses and farms by co-sponsoring bi-partisan legislation to permanently repeal the Federal Estate Tax “Death Tax”, according to this news release today.
Black, who also represents Rutherford County, joins nearly 40 Members of Congress who’ve signed the “Death Tax Repeal Permanency Act” (HR 1259), originally sponsored by Representatives Kevin Brady (R-TX-8) and Mike Ross (D-AR-4).
The Death Tax fight will soon be decided in the halls of Congress by your representatives. AFBI is leading the fight for repeal in Washington, but we cannot do it alone.
