New Ohio House Speaker William Batchelder gave legislators their first taste of the pro-business agenda that Republicans will push in the coming year.
After being sworn in as speaker during a ceremony at the Statehouse Monday afternoon, the Republican from Medina in northeast Ohio delivered a speech in which he outlined some of the legislation his party will introduce in the coming weeks.
The highlights include a repeal of Ohio’s estate tax and a number of tax credits aimed at making the state a better place to work and do business.
